okay, we’re not stupid. we all know that celeb pics are touched & re-touched for magazine covers and the like. smoothing out the skin, fixing an unruly piece of hair… no biggie. today, complex magazine released a pre-photoshopped pic of kim kardashian, but quickly replaced it hours later. kim immediately spoke out, saying that yeah, she is a little curvy & she is proud of her cellulite. i love her attitude about it – reminding all of us that a lot of mag pics are idealistic, and not realistic.
kim’s bout with photoshop reminded me of the controversy around ms. faith hill on the cover of redbook magazine. i think it’s one thing to lighten the eyes, etc., but they sliced off inches from faith’s arm! come on, now. photoshoppers – stop taking it too far. there’s something to be said about natural beauty.
