there’s a new queen of prank shows and it’s none other than ms. betty white. NBC has just picked up the 88-year-old’s reality TV series, off their rockers!

ms. white will host and executive produce off their rockers, a hidden-camera show that will follow a band of senior citizens as they play pranks on unsuspecting young people. oh. my. gosh…. this sounds HILARIOUS!

“people have been telling me that i’m ‘off my rocker’ for years – now i can prove it,” says white.

can’t wait to see what they come up with! i mean, ANYone could fall victim to some sweet little old man or woman. you’d have a heart of stone if ya didn’t!

ask anyone – they’ll tell you i’ve been a fan of american idol for years.

it was only about a week ago that i realized i’m OVER IT. i mean, sure new judges jennifer lopez and steven tyler are cool but the show has lost its edge. every single performance is dubbed “amazing” and “ground-breaking” and just all-around perfect. where’s the fun in that? without simon cowell, there’s no spark, no discord and certainly no real opinions given.

so… with that being said, i’m now even more interested to see the 2 new singing competitions hitting the market this year: NBC’s the voice and FOX’s the x factor. the voice premieres april 26th and features a fresh new set of music judges – maroon 5′s adam levine, cee lo green, country star blake shelton and christina aguilera.

judging from the first 12 minutes of the show (check it out above), i can say the voice has some real promise. the judges sure have a great camaraderie and you can tell they’re having a blast. plus, the format is WAY different than anything we’ve ever seen which will definitely attract viewers.

cue, the x factor. very similar to american idol, but they’ve got mr. cowell. and he’s priceless! this one we’re gonna have to wait awhile on… it’s not hittin’ TV until september. so far the only confirmed judges are simon himself and music mogul l.a. reid, but we’ve heard rumors of jessica simpson, katy perry, and even mariah carey joining the judges panel too.

so, which one has more promise? it’s tough to tell. we’ll just have to wait and see!

while the details are still under wraps, its been reported that the montag & crew will be “revamping a restaurant from the ground up.” right, since they have SO much business experience!

where’s it airing? on vh1, of course! yikes. just another example of quality TV programming.

…and the tears are pouring down my face!

if you’re a fan of american idol, no doubt you’ve also become a fan of season 10′s chris medina. the humble singer entered the reality show to draw attention to two things: his talent and his injury-stricken fiance, juliana.

juliana suffered from a traumatic car accident, which has unfortunately left her severely brain damaged. chris has stayed by her side relentlessly. after it was revealed chris did not make american idol‘s top 24, it left most of us saying, “ah come on, give him another chance!”

well, ryan seacrest did just that. he had him on his radio program this past week where it was revealed that guthy-renker donated $35,000 to his fiance’s foundation! seeing him tear up like that… yeah, i started crying too.

meanwhile, topher grace who was in the next room waiting to discuss his new movie take me home tonight, interrupts the interview to donate ANOTHER $35,000! see? people really do have good hearts. topher and the movie’s producer then go on to say that they’ll also donate 1% of whatever take me home tonight pulls in at the box office this weekend!

i just love stories like this.

vh1 has just announced the title for mario lopez‘s new reality TV show. the big reveal? mario lopez: saved by the baby (making a simply GENIUS pun on his days on 90′s fave saved by the bell)

i suppose it’s a smart marketing move – because where most would just tune out his reality TV debut, now we’re all talking about it! mario and girlfriend courtney mazza have just welcomed baby girl gia francesca, and want to show her off the world.

vh1′s press release touts the show will take us from the “hottest parties to the dirtiest diapers.” wait, wha?

whatever you say, guys! plus, i’m sure mario will use this opportunity to go shirtless whenever possible. i clearly recall my days working at extra with him, when he would walk around the newsroom in a barely-there tank and jeans. don’t wanna cover those muscles!!

mario lopez: saved by the baby hits your TV on november 1st. will YOU tune in?

…because she clearly has NO problems layin’ it all out there! the lady kim has again posed absolutely nudey (sans crotch shots) for W magazine‘s art issue.

strange, because if you’ve ever caught her show, keeping up with the kardashians (guilty), you’ll know that kim & family were originally not too thrilled about the thought of posing nude. stepdad bruce jenner even brought up her deceased father, and what he’d have to say about it.

but that’s all in the past. now it’s all about the dollas, right kim? and is it just me, or are these shots not even that flattering? i mean, she’s gorgeous and all, but i think they coulda done better.

since its rise to “fame,” i’ve refused to speak, write about or accidentally watch the trainwreck that is MTV’s jersey shore. but these darn cast members just won’t let up! i mean, truly, when will it end? this is NOT real TV, and they do NOT have real talent.

nicole “snooki” polizzi is taking her 15 minutes of fame and stretching them as much as possible. next up for this pint-size money-grubber? she’s writing a book.

yes, a real book.

tentatively titled a shore thing, the simon & schuster-backed disaster will be released in january and will tell the tale of a girl looking for romance in the JS. she says, “i’m pumped to announce to my fans a project that i’ve been working on for some time. this book will have you falling in love at the shore.”

darn it, TLC! you’ve got me again.

the network has just released the promo for the upcoming reality TV show sister wives, about a polygamist family and their secretive life. cha-ching! people are fascinated by polygamy. how the heck does it work? i mean, it goes completely against human nature to share a sexual partner.

meet “head of the house” kody brown – the husband of 3 (soon to be 4) wives and the father of 13 children. TLC promises to wow viewers with the “unexpectedly tight-knit and loving relationships between kody’s wives.” alright, well let’s see it!

should be a fun-filled crock of desperate wannabes!

the devout baptist family has always relied on God’s plan when it comes to their children. very admirable. but when the family of 20 and TLC reality show stars welcomed their 19th child, josie, who was born severely premature & with health issues to boot, many assumed they’d have no more.

think again! “we’re ready for more,” then new people cover couple say. with mom michelle’s age (43!) and the increasing number of health hazards for both her & baby, the family has come under fire with this recent revelation that they are considering a 20th child.

the very real risks of stroke or even death must be taken into account as michelle’s last pregnancy proved so dangerous. but despite the risk and intense criticism, the pair vow to stick to their beliefs. “people think we are overpopulating the world. we are following our convictions,” the couple maintain.
