jay-z: the man behind the ‘single lady’

how cute can they possibly get? power couple extraordinaire jay-z and beyonce are precious beyond words. and rich. and beautiful. oh yeah, and extremely talented!

rarely do we head the either of them dish on their relationship, but jay-z was less tight-lipped than usual this past weekend. the music mogul let loose on BBC’s friday night with jonathan ross, and crap, he’s kinda funny! watch above… and prepare to giggle.

he says of his wife, “she’s a magnificent performer… i steal routines from her, she stole many things from me. the whole ‘uh-oh’ dance. i started that.” (speakin’ on beyonce’s famous single ladies video). he goes on to say that it was him who choreographed the famous hand flip in the vid! “i actually created that dance. that was me, again.” oh, jay. i’ll believe it when i see it!

ryan_reynolds_profile finally! a reason to blog about ryan reynolds. i may or may not have a massive celeb crush on him. but besides all that, i’m happy to report that he and anna faris are reuniting in a new comedy! these two, who were hysterically matched in ‘just friends,’ will star together in a movie all about the good & bad of honesty in a relationship.

sometimes too much information can be a bad thing, the movie seeks to show us. entitled ‘tmi,’ ryan and anna will star as the leads in the universal pictures-developed film. after a few box office duds, universal is trying its hand with this sure-fire duo to prove the studio still has it in ‘em. with ryan on board, chances are it will be a good one. we want them to make a film that we enjoy as much as we enjoy going out with our friends or playing popular bingo games or going on a great date. we want it to be so good we’ll watch it time and time again and be able to get a great ryan fix each time.

i think i speak for all of us when i say, hurry up, universal! we want to see this movie and SOON.

time travelin’ tv

‘the time traveler’s wife’… did you like the book? did you like the movie? then get ready for the tv series! abc & ‘friends’ creator marta kauffman have joined forces to make the hit story a weekly edition. the movie, with eric bana & rachel mcadams, pulled in a hefty $20 million in it’s 3-day opening. it would appear it’s just money in the bank for execs!

apparently abc’s interest in adapting the story into a tv series has been long-standing – the network says they’ve been discussing the project with writer/producer kauffman “for years.” the talented lady will both write & executive produce for the show. abc execs believe they’ll be able to string-out & explore the relationship between the two main characters throughout a few seasons. the series centers around a man that spontaneously time travels to and from the woman he loves.

while this has potential, i think it might be difficult for fans of the book/movie to sit still episode to episode. abc touts that the series will feature self-contained storylines as well, but i’m not sure it will be enough. plus, haven’t we seen a romantic time-travel tv show before? nbc’s 2007 ‘journeyman’ only lasted one season. hopefully the popularity of ‘the time traveler’s wife’ will help it fare a bit better!

oh angelina

i reaaallly hate to say this, but i was officially disappointed in anglina jolie last night at the SAG awards. first off, she had a major ‘tude with e!’s guiliana depandi. she just seemed so high & mighty. very short, very drab.

she got super touchy when guiliana asked a question about brad pitt, and see here’s the thing – okay, fine, you don’t want to talk about your very PUBLIC relationship with another actor? then don’t do magazine covers (‘people,’ ‘vanity fair’). and also… don’t be a celebrity. it is part of the job that entertainment reporters are gonna ask about your life! everyone else will play along at least a little bit. but oh no, not her! check out her obnoxiousness below:

do you agree? tude-alicious! and then when it came to her fashion choice, i again was a bit disappointed. let’s be honest, she is quite gorgeous. but i don’t think her dress showcased that at all! and it was verrrry boring. and was almost the exact same dress she wore to the Golden Globes just 2 weeks prior. in my opinion, she was definitely not one of the best dressed!
